This text is not yet an effective policy or agreement. Information about data recipients and retention periods is still being verified.
What this text covers
Gecko Voice helps you record speech, receive transcripts, create AI notes and tasks, search recordings and access your history across devices. This draft covers the mobile app, website and cloud features of the service.
Gecko Voice is operated by GeckoDev. The service and data contact is support@geckovoice.com. The terms of use are governed by Indonesian law; details of international data transfers are still being verified.
Account and connections
When you sign in with Apple, Google or Telegram, the service receives a sign-in identifier and the available profile information: name, email address and profile image, where supplied by the chosen sign-in method. Account and device identifiers support history and synchronization.
Session information includes an IP address, connection time, device model and operating system. An approximate sign-in location may be inferred from the IP for the session list; the mobile app does not request device location.
Audio, notes and search
A mobile recording is first saved on your device. Microphone permission is requested when you start recording; an active recording may continue in the background. Cloud processing requires connectivity and a separate choice in the app.
Cloud features process submitted audio, transcripts, generated notes and tasks, search queries and associated information such as language, duration and recording time. These data support speech recognition, AI results, search, synchronization and history.
Operation and error information supports reliability, security, usage accounting and support. If an account has payments, the service also records their amounts, statuses and identifiers.
Requests to the team
The request form in the app sends the comment you write, up to three photos or one short video that you pick yourself, and technical context: platform, app version, language and the screen you were on. The app opens the system picker only when you tap; it sees only the files you choose and gets no access to your photo library or camera.
The team reads requests to answer and to fix problems. Photos and video of a closed request are erased after a limited period; the text of the request and the decision remain. Deleting your account deletes your requests together with their attachments.
App Store purchases
Apple handles payment. Gecko Voice receives purchase identifiers, the product, amount, currency, period and renewal or refund information to verify the purchase and provide access to your account. Gecko Voice does not receive your bank card details.
Cloud processing and recipients
Cloud speech recognition sends submitted audio to Deepgram, with OpenRouter as an alternative processing route. These services receive the audio needed to produce a transcript.
AI notes, tasks and semantic search send note text, necessary context or search queries through OpenRouter. Processing providers include Google, OpenAI, Microsoft Azure and DeepSeek, depending on the feature and model used.
Cloud audio, account information, transcripts and results are stored to provide history and synchronization. Cloudflare provides cloud storage. Apple, Google and Telegram process information for the sign-in, messaging or support features that use their services.
Content, account information and diagnostic data may also be processed to operate the service, provide support and investigate errors. Service providers, including Telegram, may process these data for those purposes.
Processing providers may retain submitted data and may use it to improve or train their services under their applicable policies. Their privacy policies describe retention, data use and international transfers; Gecko Voice does not promise that all providers offer zero retention or exclude model training.
When the email feature is enabled and a message is sent, Resend receives the recipient address and message content. Contacting support by email also sends the information you include through email providers.
Website data
The website uses cookies for sign-in and language preferences. It includes Umami and Yandex Metrica for visit and interaction statistics, including link tracking and click maps. This section concerns the website; the mobile app does not request an advertising identifier or tracking permission.
Your choices and deletion
You can decline cloud processing in the mobile app or change that choice in Settings. You can manage microphone permission in iOS Settings. Declining cloud processing leaves local recording available.
Account settings include an account deletion request; individual cloud notes can be deleted from history. Signing out preserves cloud history. Deleting a note in Voice does not automatically delete an original message or a copy you exported or sent to another person.
You can contact support about access to your data, correction and deletion. The retention criteria and the remaining unverified details are described below.
Retention and removal
Cloud notes and results remain available until you delete the note or account. Deleting a note hides it from history and requests removal of its stored audio. The deleted record and its text are kept for synchronization, then become eligible for database cleanup after 30 days.
Account deletion revokes access and runs a separate removal process for profile information, recordings, transcripts, tasks, AI results, requests to the team with their attachments and account-related files. The request status remains visible while this process completes. Limited transaction, refund and usage references remain for settlement and accounting integrity; their final retention period is still being confirmed.
Sign-in sessions expire after 30 days unless renewed. Revoked or expired sessions and expired device sign-in requests are removed by scheduled maintenance. Expiry of access and removal from storage are separate steps.
Diagnostic data are retained as needed to investigate errors, protect the service and provide support. Retention depends on the purpose and the type of data.
Copies retained for recovery may remain after deletion from active use. Copies held by processing providers are subject to their retention and deletion rules. Contact support with questions about removing your data.
